He Did All Things Well

The benefit of reading the Bibleāor at least one of the benefitsāis that we come to understand who God is. And in particular, who Jesus is.
The Old Testament teaches us a lot, and the New Testament goes even deeper, describing what Jesus said and did. As His disciples, we follow the discipline of the master. If weāre trying to become like Christ, we need to know Him.
In Markās Gospel, thereās this line thatās so simple, and yet such a great reminder: āHe did all things well.ā
Not āHe was amazing at miracles but struggled with small talk.ā Not āHe preached brilliantly but was disorganized.ā Just: He did all things well.
Weāre called to follow in His footsteps. What would it look like if someone could say about us: āThey did all things wellā?
Not just praying well or showing up to Mass with the right mindset, but the way we load the dishwasher. How we answer our kidsā hundredth question of the day. The tone we use in that 3 PM email when weāre already exhausted.
All things. Maybe not perfectly. Not without struggle. But with the same care and presence Jesus brought to everything He touched.
Worth thinking about today.
