I was troubleshooting a tool recently, searching for answers online. The problem was hard to describe, so I typed “what happens when...” into Google.

The first auto-complete suggestion? “What happens when you die.”

I chuckled. Then I felt sad.

Sad because enough people are asking Google this question that it’s become the top prediction. Sad because when people face life’s biggest question, some turn to search algorithms instead of the Church that holds the answer.

Our Lord tells us, “Seek and you will find.” Seeking is good. Questions are good. But where we seek matters as much as what we’re seeking.

Google can tell you how to fix a broken tool. It can’t tell you what happens when you die.

Our faith has held the answer to that question for thousands of years.

So when you’re seeking answers to life’s deepest questions—about death, about meaning, about who you are and why you’re here—where are you looking?

Are you searching in places that can actually satisfy? Or are you settling for the internet’s best guess?

Seek. But seek where the Truth is found.
