What Happens When You Die

I was troubleshooting a tool recently, searching for answers online. The problem was hard to describe, so I typed âwhat happens when...â into Google.
The first auto-complete suggestion? âWhat happens when you die.â
I chuckled. Then I felt sad.
Sad because enough people are asking Google this question that itâs become the top prediction. Sad because when people face lifeâs biggest question, some turn to search algorithms instead of the Church that holds the answer.
Our Lord tells us, âSeek and you will find.â Seeking is good. Questions are good. But where we seek matters as much as what weâre seeking.
Google can tell you how to fix a broken tool. It canât tell you what happens when you die.
Our faith has held the answer to that question for thousands of years.
So when youâre seeking answers to lifeâs deepest questionsâabout death, about meaning, about who you are and why youâre hereâwhere are you looking?
Are you searching in places that can actually satisfy? Or are you settling for the internetâs best guess?
Seek. But seek where the Truth is found.
