What This Is
The Victor’s Crown is a Catholic podcast and email publication about pursuing the imperishable crown through daily prayer, wisdom from Scripture and the saints, and conversations that challenge us to grow in holiness.
Every weekday, you’ll receive First Victory—a brief reflection to ground your morning in prayer. Start the day with Christ, then face whatever comes next.
Why “The Victor’s Crown”?
The name comes from the Forty Martyrs of Sebaste—forty Roman soldiers who refused to renounce Christ, even unto death. They lived, and died, for Christ to win the victor’s crown.
Their story reminds us that we’re all called to pursue the imperishable crown Paul writes about in 1 Corinthians 9:25. Not through martyrdom necessarily, but through daily faithfulness—choosing Christ in the small battles of everyday life.
This is about living victoriously as Catholics in the modern world.
What You’ll Find Here
First Victory (Monday-Friday): Daily 2-3 minute reflections delivered to your inbox and podcast app. Prayer, Scripture, and spiritual wisdom to start your morning.
More to come: As The Victor’s Crown grows, so will the content. I’m excited to explore interviews about books that changed lives, vocation stories, and conversations that challenge us to go deeper in our faith.
Who I Am
I’m Mark Quaranta—a Catholic husband and father of five (soon to be six). I’ve written a daily Catholic reflection for seven years.
I’m based in Allentown, PA, and when I’m not writing or recording, I’m reading, working out, changing diapers, feeding chickens, or playing whiffle ball.
